Integration with Discord Rich Presence is available with AJ Audio version 2.0.4 onwards. This allows you to show your friends what you're currently listening to. By default, this option is on.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Go to the Settings page > Discord and uncheck "Discord listening status" to completely disable this integration.

What does it show?

AJ Audio comes with 4 available options for setting the main activity text:

• AJ Audio
• Artist
• Track name
• Current lyric

This setting can be changed in the "Activity text" section in the settings.

What about radio?

Playing the Radio will also update your Discord activity; by default, "AJ Audio" is used as your activity text until tag information is received (usually within a second after playing a station). When this tag information is received, Discord will display the track name or artist as per your setting. The station logo will be used as the default activity image, unless the album art of the current playing track has been downloaded.

Showing the current lyric

The "Current lyric" setting will only work if your current playing track supports time synchronised lyrics. Otherwise, the app name will appear as your main activity text. This also applies when playing a radio stream.

Displaying album art

Album art submitted to Discord comes from an external source; the same source used to find replacement album art for your songs. If the corresponding album is lacking a Musicbrainz ID or AudioDB ID, then the default invalid album art image will be shown instead.

Further notes

Discord should be running before opening AJ Audio in order for this to work. Otherwise, you will have to toggle your activity status in the settings to re-connect, or alternatively re-open the app.
